What did you think when the hurricane Catrina hit the United States and left a lot of damages? Every year, many countries suffer from many kinds of natural disasters such as hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, droughts, and so on. Sometimes they are unpredictable, and sometimes we can predict them. However, compared to the past, it is reasonable that the strength of disasters get more because we, human beings, are making them worse and worse. The human's wrong belief, careless attitudes and pollutions have made natural disasters worse since we started inhabiting the world.
First, human beings have believed the nature is a thing that we can conquer. For example, we have not thought we have to have a harmony with the nature; also, we have thought that the nature exist for humans. Therefore, they have used the nature mercilessly, and it has caused a result that making natural disasters stronger and more powerful. Like this, we make natural disasters worse by ourselves.
Second, our careless attitudes make ourselves have more damages. For instance, we don't have enough knowledge about how we take shelter properly when we face natural disasters. Also, people don't know how strong the power of natural disasters. Moreover, even though we predict that in the future, we will have natural disasters, we don't build the constructions enough strong to bear the power of natural disasters because of lack of care.
Third, pollutions help natural disasters have more power. Moreover, sometimes we make new disasters such as landslide and earthquake. Of course, human beings made a lot of pollutions before, and until now we continue. The worst thing is that natural disasters that are made by people are unpredictable. Therefore, it alway brings lots of damages to us. In the result, we have made problems that has harmful effects to ourselves.
To sum up, natural disasters are formed more mighty by human beings. It's not late to realize and accept the fact that I already stated above. For better life for our next generation, we have to think and change our attitude about nature and natural disasters. Now it is your turn to do.
