A story of a life changing event on a small sailboat in rough seas
The name of the survivor of this history is Rob Nelson. He was in Hawaii, when one day decided to board his boat with another girl named Naomi. That day, the 28th of November, the weather looked like tranquil.
The next day of sealing, the waves starting to get bigger and making navigating a sailboat pretty tough. Suddenly, Rob Nelson saw a big wave building, and he tried that the girl got in the boat but she can’t because the waves tossed her back and forth. Suddenly the big wave dwarfed the boat and began to break.
The two persons were in the water but Rob couldn’t see her, in fact, that was the last time that he saw her. He started swimming trying to find her but it was impossible.
The waves were hitting him but he could see a buoy son he started to swim to that buoy, but he couldn’t because when he started to swim the waves take him away. He swan to the buoy when finally the buoy began to get closer, and after another 10 minutes he made it to the buoy, but it was gigantic and there weren’t stepladders on the side, but just large rings on the side. He could climb the large 20 foot tall structure to look for the girl and the boat.
Finally, three hours after, he looked up and saw two guys on jets-ski. He jumped in and grabbed onto the board and nearly tipped the jets ski over. After 10 minutes they could go away the waves and they get back to the Marine Corp base. When they arrived at the base, one of the rescuers told him that they had gotten the girl before, she was in the hospital.
They got rescued at about 12:30 and they had been in the water since 9:15. Their body temperature had dropped to 96 degrees.
